Available for Registration
Domains in this database have completed the full deletion cycle and can be registered at standard cost through any registrar.
Prior Registration History
Filter by how long a domain was previously registered. Domains with longer prior history may carry established recognition or existing references.
Hold Status Screening
Filter out domains that had ClientHold or ServerHold during their previous registration, which may indicate past policy or abuse issues.
What is Deleted Domain Search
DomainKits Deleted Domain Search indexes .com, .net, and .org domains that have completed the full expiration and deletion cycle and are now available for standard registration. Built from the enterprise data pipelines of ABTdomain.com with daily updates from the premium pending deleted domains feed, each record includes the domain's prior registration history, hold status, and cross-TLD registration count.
When Domains Leave Deleted Domain Database
When a deleted domain gets registered by someone, it re-enters the lifecycle and appears in Newly Registered Domain Search. The lifecycle is a cycle: deleted domains that are re-registered become new domains, which eventually become active, then aged, and may one day expire and be deleted again.
How to Use Key Filters for Better Results
Search results include domain name, prior registration period, age before deletion, hold status, cross-TLD registration count, and more. The following key filters help you narrow results to find exactly what you need.
Age
Filter by how long a domain was previously registered before it was deleted: 0-5 years, 5-10 years, 10-20 years, or 20+ years. Domains with longer prior registration history are rarer finds in the deleted pool.
TLD
Filter results to .com, .net, or .org. These three legacy TLDs represent the most valuable segment of the deleted domain market.
Position
Controls where the keyword appears in the domain name. "Start" (e.g., cloudhost.com) returns domains where the keyword leads. "End" (e.g., mycloud.com) returns domains where it follows another word.
Type
Filter by character composition: Pure Alpha for letter-only domains, Pure Number for numeric domains, No Hyphen or No Number to exclude specific characters. Helps separate clean brandable names from bulk registrations.
Length
Filter by domain name length: under 5 characters, 5-10, 10-15, or 15+. Short deleted domains with prior history are rare finds.
Deleted Domain Search vs Other Domain Search Tools
A domain name moves through a predictable lifecycle. DomainKits provides a dedicated search tool for each stage. Deleted Domain Search is the final stage before a domain can be re-registered.
| Stage | What It Covers |
|---|---|
| New Domains | Domains registered in the past 60 days. Track registration trends, spot for-sale opportunities, and analyze registration periods. |
| Active Domains | Currently registered gTLD domains that are resolving and publicly accessible. Full inventory search with pattern analysis and for-sale filtering. |
| Aged Domains | Registered domains with 5 to 20+ years of history. Filter by age range and find for-sale listings with established domain history. |
| Expired Domains | Domains in the expiration pipeline (grace period, redemption, pending delete). Backorder and drop-catch opportunities. |
| Deleted Domains | Previously registered domains that completed the deletion cycle. Available for standard registration with prior history intact. |
Privacy by design: DomainKits focuses on what happens to a domain, not who owns it. Searches operate on registration metadata, not personal data.
Frequently Asked Questions

What happens when a deleted domain gets registered?
Once someone registers a deleted domain, it re-enters the lifecycle as a new registration and appears in Newly Registered Domain Search.
Which TLDs are covered?
Deleted Domain Search covers .com, .net, and .org. Other gTLDs and ccTLDs are not included. For broader TLD coverage on registered domains, see Active Domain Search or Newly Registered Domain Search.
